Hi, I'm Katharine DeCelle — a storyteller working across writing, film, photography, and audio. My work centers on voices often left out of the mainstream — the unseen, the unheard, the beautifully complex. I seek out stories that reveal our shared humanity and challenge the idea of otherness.
At the core of everything I make is storytelling with heart — work that’s personal, purposeful, and driven by connection.
This site is a curated collection of my creative work.
In the Audio section, you’ll find a few of my favorite radio documentaries. For a deeper dive into my sound work, visit my podcast production company, Sounds Powerful.
The Film and Essays sections feature short films and essays that reflect my personal experiences and the subjects I’m most passionate about.
The Diary is a narrative experiment — a fictional character’s life told one day at a time. Start at Day 1 and read chronologically to follow the story as it unfolds.
Shhhh is an ASMR-inspired audio series where I read some of my favorite children’s stories — a quiet side project just for fun.
Outside of this creative world, I wear a few other hats:
I'm a mom, co-founder and Executive Director of WFNU Frogtown Community Radio, a radio host, producer, caregiver for disabled adults, and a lover of sunshine, funky music, thrift stores, animals, cheese, and all kinds of love. I live and create in my favorite city, Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Thanks for stopping by.
